Henrik Purienne

Purienne — Henrik Purienne Photography Books

Purienne, the artistic name of French photographer Henrik Purienne, has developed a distinctive visual language centered on intimacy, youth, sensuality and contemporary culture. His photography moves between fashion, portraiture and personal observation, creating images that feel spontaneous while remaining highly composed.

Based in Los Angeles, Purienne is known for his intimate approach to photography and his ability to capture atmosphere, gestures and bodies with a natural, understated aesthetic. His work has appeared across fashion, art and independent publishing, establishing him as one of the defining photographers of his generation.

Among his most recognised photography books is Jeux de Peau, published by IDEA. The book explores the relationship between the body and its environment, bringing together photographs that move between intimacy, fashion and everyday life. Jeux de Peau — also presented under the subtitle Physical Space as Mental Space — offers an immersive view of Purienne's photographic universe.

Purienne's relationship with fashion is also closely connected to Saint Laurent and creative director Anthony Vaccarello. His images have contributed to the visual language surrounding the house, while his work continues to explore the meeting point between photography, fashion, lifestyle and contemporary culture.

At L'Imagerie, we select and offer photography books and collectible editions by Purienne for collectors, photographers, artists and anyone interested in contemporary photographic publishing.
