Czarface is an American hip-hop supergroup formed in 2013 by Inspectah Deck, 7L & Esoteric, and the comic-book-inspired character Czarface. Known for their distinctive fusion of underground hip-hop, comic-book mythology and visual art, the group has developed one of the most recognizable identities in contemporary rap culture.
Czarface's music draws heavily from classic hip-hop, science fiction, comics and pop culture, with dense lyricism, sample-driven production and a strong visual universe built around the masked superhero character. Their artwork and collaborations have become an integral part of the group's identity, extending their world beyond music into illustration, collectibles and contemporary culture.
Since their debut, Czarface have released a series of acclaimed albums and collaborations, including projects with MF DOOM, Ghostface Killah, MF Grimm and other influential figures from the underground hip-hop scene. Their collaboration with MF DOOM resulted in Czarface Meets Metal Face, a landmark project that further connected Czarface's comic-book universe with the legacy of one of hip-hop's most iconic characters.
